Tankageddon is a free top-down multiplayer tank game made by Dissolve Media AB. This page explains what information we process when you play, why, and the choices and rights you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
The game is operated by Dissolve Media AB (Halland, Sweden), the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us about privacy at info@dissolve.se. The game is available at tankageddon.com.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your alias and (optional) room code | To place you in a match and show your name to other players. You pick the alias yourself — it doesn't have to be your real name. It lives only in the server's memory during the match and is not stored afterwards. |
| Gameplay actions (position, shots, score) | To run the real-time match for everyone in your room. Processed live and not retained once the match ends. |
| IP address | Used by the server to maintain your connection, prevent abuse and cheating, and rate-limit requests. It is not used to build a profile of you and is not stored long-term. |
| Usage analytics | We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the game is used (e.g. matches started/finished, session length, device and browser type, approximate region, referring site) so we can improve it. |
| Feedback you send | If you use the “Suggest a feature / Report a bug” box, we receive your message, your email (only if you choose to give one), and your IP address — by email — so we can respond and fix issues. |
| Local settings | Small preferences (minimap rotation, music on/off, a reconnect token) are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are not sent to us, and are not used to identify you. |
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers (processors) to run the game:
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that happens, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Google Analytics sets cookies / identifiers in your browser to measure usage. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, using a content blocker, or installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The local settings described above are stored with your browser's local storage, not cookies, and you can clear them at any time by clearing site data.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at info@dissolve.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Tankageddon is intended for a general audience and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the game evolves. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the game where appropriate.
